1. Introduction

WannaCall is a mobile app that lets you share your availability with friends. This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. WannaCall is operated by its developers (no registered company).

2. Data We Collect

• Name – used to identify you to your friends.
• Email address – used for authentication and account management.
• Phone number – optional; used if you register with phone-based authentication.
• Availability status – the status you set in the app (e.g. available, busy, offline).
• Status history – a log of your past status changes, used to show activity to friends and for your own reference.
• Device push tokens – used to send you push notifications about friend activity.
• Contact hashes – optional; if you use "find friends from contacts", the app reads your address book on your device and sends only one-way hashes of phone numbers and email addresses to our server. These hashes are compared against existing accounts to suggest friends and are not stored; your actual contacts never leave your device.

2a. Data Processed Only on Your Device

To detect automatically that you are driving (and set your status to "available"), the app can use, with your permission:

• Location – significant location changes are used solely to wake the app and detect driving.
• Motion & fitness data – motion sensors confirm that you are actually driving.
• Bluetooth / car audio – detecting a connection to your car's Bluetooth or audio system.

This data is processed entirely on your device. Your location, movement data and Bluetooth information are never stored on or transmitted to our servers. Only the resulting availability status (e.g. "available") is shared, as described above.

3. Why We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account.
• To show your availability status to the friends you have added.
• To send push notifications about friend status updates.

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Sub-processors

We use the following third-party services to operate WannaCall:

• Google Firebase – authentication and push notifications (FCM).
• Google Cloud Run – API hosting.
• Google Firestore – database storage.

All sub-processors are operated by Google LLC and are subject to Google's data processing terms.

5. Data Retention

• Status history is automatically deleted after 90 days.
• Account data (name, email, phone number, avatar, friendships, device tokens) is deleted when you delete your account.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the following rights:

• Access – export all your data via Profile → Export Data in the app.
• Correction – update your name and profile via Profile → Edit in the app.
• Deletion – delete your account and all data via Profile → Delete Account in the app.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Your status is visible only to friends you have explicitly added. We may disclose data if required by law.

8. Children

WannaCall is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via the app.

WannaCall is een mobiele app waarmee je je beschikbaarheid kunt delen met vrienden. Dit privacybeleid legt uit welke persoonsgegevens we verzamelen, waarom en hoe we ze gebruiken. WannaCall wordt beheerd door de ontwikkelaars (geen geregistreerd bedrijf).

2. Gegevens die we verzamelen

• Naam – om je te identificeren voor je vrienden.
• E-mailadres – voor authenticatie en accountbeheer.
• Telefoonnummer – optioneel; gebruikt bij registratie via telefoon-authenticatie.
• Beschikbaarheidsstatus – de status die je instelt in de app (bijv. beschikbaar, bezet, offline).
• Statusgeschiedenis – een log van je eerdere statuswijzigingen.
• Push tokens – voor het sturen van pushmeldingen over activiteit van vrienden.
• Contact-hashes – optioneel; als je "vrienden vinden via contacten" gebruikt, leest de app je adresboek op je toestel en stuurt alleen eenrichtings-hashes van telefoonnummers en e-mailadressen naar onze server. Deze hashes worden vergeleken met bestaande accounts om vrienden voor te stellen en worden niet opgeslagen; je daadwerkelijke contacten verlaten je toestel nooit.

2a. Gegevens die alleen op je toestel worden verwerkt

Om automatisch te detecteren dat je aan het rijden bent (en je status op "beschikbaar" te zetten), kan de app met jouw toestemming gebruikmaken van:

• Locatie – significante locatiewijzigingen worden uitsluitend gebruikt om de app te wekken en rijden te detecteren.
• Bewegingsgegevens – bewegingssensoren bevestigen dat je daadwerkelijk rijdt.
• Bluetooth / auto-audio – detectie van een verbinding met de Bluetooth of het audiosysteem van je auto.

Deze gegevens worden volledig op je toestel verwerkt. Je locatie, bewegingsgegevens en Bluetooth-informatie worden nooit opgeslagen op of verstuurd naar onze servers. Alleen de resulterende beschikbaarheidsstatus (bijv. "beschikbaar") wordt gedeeld, zoals hierboven beschreven.

3. Waarvoor we je gegevens gebruiken

• Voor het aanmaken en beheren van je account.
• Om je beschikbaarheidsstatus te tonen aan je vrienden.
• Voor het sturen van pushmeldingen over statusupdates van vrienden.

We gebruiken je gegevens niet voor advertenties of marketing.

4. Subverwerkers

We maken gebruik van de volgende diensten van derden:

• Google Firebase – authenticatie en pushmeldingen (FCM).
• Google Cloud Run – API-hosting.
• Google Firestore – databaseopslag.

Alle subverwerkers worden beheerd door Google LLC en vallen onder de verwerkersovereenkomst van Google.

5. Bewaartermijnen

• Statusgeschiedenis wordt automatisch verwijderd na 90 dagen.
• Accountgegevens (naam, e-mail, telefoonnummer, avatar, vriendschappen, push tokens) worden verwijderd wanneer je je account verwijdert.

6. Jouw rechten

Onder de AVG heb je de volgende rechten:

• Inzage – exporteer al je gegevens via Profiel → Gegevens exporteren in de app.
• Correctie – pas je naam en profiel aan via Profiel → Bewerken in de app.
• Verwijdering – verwijder je account en alle gegevens via Profiel → Account verwijderen in de app.

7. Gegevens delen

We verkopen of delen je persoonsgegevens niet met derden voor commerciële doeleinden. Je status is alleen zichtbaar voor vrienden die je zelf hebt toegevoegd. We kunnen gegevens verstrekken als dit wettelijk verplicht is.

8. Kinderen

WannaCall is niet bestemd voor kinderen onder de 13 jaar. We verzamelen niet bewust gegevens van kinderen onder de 13.

9. Wijzigingen

We kunnen dit beleid af en toe bijwerken. Belangrijke wijzigingen worden via de app gecommuniceerd.
